Social Consciousness, as we see it, means an intention, a deep desire and willingness to make the world a better place for everyone. We believe that there are three things, tests if you will, that qualifies a business as a socially conscious business.

1. Begin With Myself

" Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

Personal consciousness precedes social consciousness. An acceptance on the part of the business leaders of the fact that there is only one starting point for each of us to begin to make the world a better place: ME.

2. Our Business is a Microcosm of the World We Want to See

That we are willing to create our business as a microcosm of the world we want to see. In other words, we are willing to build our own business an example of peace, prosperity, high ideals, high profits, robust growth and other measures that are important for us to see in the world.

3. The Whole of Humanity, Not a Subsection of It

That we care about the whole world. That we want the whole world, the entire humanity - not just our country, our race, our gender or some other select subsection of the humanity - to have peace, prosperity, freedom, opportunities and well-being. This is important as we must be willing to make every effort possible to free ourselves of our inherent, ingrained preferences and prejudices.
